![]() I assume this is because of the lack of training these programs offer. ![]() This did give me a traineddata file but the results were subpar at best, it did sometimes understand the difference between 5’s and S’s but the accuracy on all letters was much worse than just using the eng file. Next I tried jTessBo圎ditor to get a box file and serak trainer to train it (both of these apps are also almost 10 years old!). After checking out the tesseract training documents, it seems training (for tesseract 5.x.x) only works on Linux devices, not windows. The problem is I cannot find a way to do it in windows and have good results. I am trying to train my own font (.tff file) that I can use for tesseract because the default eng.traineddata, and even the best eng.traineddata font often confuses my fonts 5’s and S’s, and similar for other characters.
